PELLY CROSSING – RCMP officers in Pelly Crossing arrested a man Friday evening after a series of complaints flooded in.
Pelly Crossing RCMP officers received multiple 911 calls reporting a public safety issue in the community on Friday, October 7 at 9:36 p.m. Local RCMP officers responded promptly and safely to make a high-risk arrest in the community, with assistance from Carmacks RCMP.
The suspect was subsequently seen around the neighbourhood with a firearm and a knife, making verbal threats, slashing the tires, and smashing the vehicle’s windows. Another individual was also threatened with a knife by the suspect.
Later that evening, officers safely arrested the 25 year old male suspect at his residence.
The suspect was brought to Whitehorse on October 8, 2022, where he is still being held. A car was also impounded. The investigation is still ongoing.
