Crime spree in Watson Lake

Two people have been arrested related to several property offences in the Watson Lake area.

A news release from the RCMP says a series of property crimes have been occurring in Watson Lake over the last several days. Incidents of theft from vehicles, distraction thefts and trespass by night have been reported. Arrests have been made in relation to theft from vehicle incidents.

Jedine Medcalfe-Sterriah, age 31 of Whitehorse, has been charged with three counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and has been released by the courts on conditions;

Allen Yaklin, age 30 of Whitehorse, has been charged with three counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and one count of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and has been released by the courts on conditions.
