Back-to-school season is here — and The Rush is teaming up with Save-On-Foods to give back to Yukon families and reward one lucky listener with a grocery shopping spree!

The Grand Prize:

A Save-On-Foods gift card valued at $1500!

How to Enter:

From Monday, August 11 to Friday, August 22, drop off lunch-friendly, non-perishable food items at the CKRW Studios at the corner of 4th and Elliot (right across the street from the RCMP).

Think: granola bars, juice boxes, fruit cups — anything a kid would love in their lunchbox.

One bag of food = One entry

Bring more bags, get more entries. It’s that simple.

Saturday, August 23 at Save-On-Foods from 12pm to 3pm

We’re loading up a Standard Bus with all the donated lunch kit items to help Yukon families in need — and we want YOU there!

2025 Lunchbox Load Up – Contest Rules

August 11 – 23, 2025

Help stock the Yukon Food Bank this school year, and you could win $1,500 in groceries from Save-On-Foods!

Eligibility:

Contest is open to Yukon residents only
Participants must be 18 years of age or older
One winner will be selected by random draw after the contest period ends

How to Enter:

Donate a bag of lunch-friendly, non-perishable food items to CKRW The Rush studios or at the Pack The Bus event
(Examples: granola bars, juice boxes, fruit cups)
For each bag donated, you’ll receive 1 contest entry via ballot
Multiple entries are allowed — the more you give, the more chances to win!
You can also purchase and donate pre-made food donation packs from Save-On-Foods and drop them off at The Rush studio
Bonus entry: Tag @TheRushCKRW on social media with a photo of your donation and include #LunchboxLoadUp
